NP Navigation
Narrative Pro · Fab · ships with NP Navigation Toolset
Points of interest, and a goal that sends an NPC to a named place — rather than to a transform that stops being true when somebody moves a wall.
- Name the place, not the transform — goals survive level changes
- Points of interest with an explicit, validated bake step
- Goals compose with the framework’s own activity scoring
Levels change. A goal aimed at a transform survives the change and quietly walks an NPC into the wrong room; a goal aimed at a named place stays correct, because the place is re-baked, not re-authored.
NP Navigation adds points of interest and the goal that targets them, with baking as an explicit, validated step — so “the NPC goes to the infirmary” is something a designer writes once and a level artist cannot silently break.
Baking is a tool with a validator beside it, because a stale bake fails silently in both directions.
